Third Annual High Academic Volleyball Showcase Announced
Southern Volleyball Center in Alpharetta will be the site of the 3rd annual High Academic Volleyball Showcase.
What: For the past eight years, A5 Volleyball Club has hosted the Southern Volleyball Showcase in early December. It has grown to become one of the top recruiting combines in the country—an event that typically attracts 500+ athletes and 120 – 130 college coaches. The High Academic Showcase is smaller and focused exclusively on matching colleges/universities with high academic standards with prospective student-athletes who have the grades and test scores necessary to secure admission and thrive in such an environment.
Who: Volleyball Coaches from Universities with high academic admission standards, along with uncommitted athletes playing 15′s – 17’s who meet the event’s academic guidelines. We are looking for GPA’s of 3.5 or higher and/or ACT’s (or equivalent PACT’s) of 25 or higher and/or SAT scores (or equivalent PSAT’s) of 1100 and up (math & verbal total). (Note that this is a guideline rather than a hard-and-fast requirement.) 15’s may register but will be wait-listed pending space availability. If there is space available as of May 1st, 15’s will be added in the order registered.
When: Saturday, June 11th from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.. We ask that athletes arrive 30 minutes early to sign in, stretch and warm up. College coaches may bring collateral materials and/or admissions representatives, as we will devote one court for use as a “college fair”-type display and meeting area.
Where: Southern Volleyball Center
